This presentation will feature the stories of global entrepreneurs in the 19th-21st centuries that found economic and social success rooted in virtue in the most challenging historical circumstances. We will explore the experiences of women and men from diverse cultures and religious tradition. As we hear these narratives, several principles of personal character and socioeconomic understanding emerge that offer hope and wisdom for our complex global and local contexts.

Rev. Charles E. Self (“Charlie”) is the Chief Intellectual Officer of the Pathmakers Foundation and Visiting Professor at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books, including Life in 5D: A New Vision of Discipleship and Flourishing Churches and Communities: A Pentecostal Primer on Faith, Work and Economics for Spirit-Empowered Discipleship, both available in the Acton University Bookstore.
