A century and a half ago, Carl Menger at the University of Vienna founded the Austrian School of Economics, personified famously and more recently by Ludwig von Mises, F. A. Hayek, Murray Rothbard, and Israel Kirzner. In this introductory lecture. Mr. Reed will explain the central principles and methodology of the Austrian School and how its unique insights have shaped the science of economics.
