Tim Carney

Tim Carney is a senior columnist at the Washington Examiner and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He is the author of three books, The Big Ripoff, Obamanomics, and most recently Alienated America: Why Some Places Collapse While Others Thrive. He has published op-eds in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and many other publications. He and his wife, Katie, raise six children in the Washington, D.C., area.
