Dr. Jessica Betz is an educator, speaker, and mentor dedicated to the renewal of Catholic education and the cultivation of strong educational communities. She currently serves as the Director of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Marquette and as Lead School Mentor for the St. John Henry Newman Institute, supporting schools and leaders engaged in the renewal of Catholic Perennial education.
Dr. Betz’s work in education spans multiple roles, including classroom teacher, school principal, and university instructor. These experiences have shaped her commitment to mentoring educators and helping schools develop strong cultures rooted in mission and purpose. She holds advanced degrees in education and leadership and continues to focus her work on forming leaders and strengthening educational communities grounded in truth, beauty, and goodness.
She is the host of The Truth About Ed podcast, where she explores the real challenges facing educators today, including leadership, burnout, school culture, and the deeper purpose of education. Dr. Betz is also the founder of The Self-Weeding Garden, an educational consulting initiative and leadership strategy focused on cultivating growth in leaders, educators, and organizations.
