The Economics of Religion is one of the disciplines’s oldest fields, and it has much to say about religious pluralism. This talk will provide an overview of the causes and consequences of religious pluralism from the economic perspective. It will also explore some broader findings from this literature, such as the relationship between economic growth and religiosity, which relate to building up a free society.
