Creating the New University

Few disagree that higher education is in a state of crisis. Many, moreover, disagree on the specific nature of the crisis, its causes, or how to fix it. The University of Austin represents a reset, a new institution committed to a tried and trustworthy philosophy of education. We will discuss how independence—politically, intellectually, and financially—serves (1) the unfettered pursuit of truth and (2) as the cornerstone of a free and flourishing democratic society.
