Christian Mission and Integral Human Development

Jesus Christ sent his disciples to teach all nations and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Evangelization, however, happens not just by words but also by the witness of the messengers and by the works of love that flows from Christian faith. Sometimes in practice, however, charitable works can be done with a humanitarian rather than a Christian spirit, focused fundamentally on material needs rather than the transcendent needs of the person body and soul. In this lecture we will explore how to make sure that the Church's missionary work does not lose its salt and the light of the Gospel.
