Are there positive uses of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs? Are the words themselves redeemable? Should their focus be intentional and direct (like a chief diversity officer), or indirectly baked into an institution’s values, or should they be entirely eliminated? What about a “color-blind” approach? Can diversity programming be virtuous and good for business?
