The Very Reverend Michael Butler is an Archpriest of the Orthodox Church in America. He has a BA in psychology from the University of Dallas, an MA in theology from the University of Dallas, and a PhD in church history and patristics from Fordham University, where he wrote his dissertation on St Maximus the Confessor. He is an adjunct professor in the religion department of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH, and he organized the Late Vocations Program for his Diocese and trains men for diaconal ministry. He has been a parish priest for 16 years.
