The Very Rev. Gregory Hogg, Ph.D. was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania. His interest in Dostoevsky began during his undergraduate work at Grove City College. He has also studied at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne (M.Div.) and Indiana University, Bloomington (Ph.D.). He currently teaches philosophy at Grand Valley State University. In addition to Dostoevsky, his areas of interest are Stoic ethics, the problem of the person, and Eastern/Western Christian relations. He is married to Cindy, and they are the proud parents of five children and 7 living grandchildren.
