Susan Billington Harper, Ph.D. is Director of Strategic Partnerships at American Bible Society. She was educated at Yale and Oxford, earning a doctorate in history as a Rhodes Scholar. Susan taught history, literature and writing at Harvard before joining The Pew Charitable Trusts as Program Officer for religious scholarship. She later served as Executive Director of the Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion and as a Scholar at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Susan has published a book and numerous articles on the history of religion, culture and faith-based philanthropy. She has served on the boards of Eastern University, the Association of American Rhodes Scholars, Overseas Ministries Study Center, and Capital for Good.
Susan is married to Charles; they have four children, and attend liberti church in Rosemont, Pennsylvania.
