Mr. Mustafa Akyol is a columnist for the Turkish Daily News. He studied political science and history at Bosphorus University of Istanbul. His opinion pieces have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek, International Herald Tribune, The Weekly Standard and First Things. Akyol's recent book, Islam Without Extremes: A Muslim Case for Liberty, was published by W. W. Norton in August 2011.
