Kenneth Grasso, Ph.D.

Kenneth L. Grasso, Ph.D. is professor and chair of political science at Texas State University.  He has written extensively on Catholic social thought, religion and politics, and democratic theory, and serves on the Editorial Advisory Boards of The Catholic Social Science Review and The Political Science Reviewer as well as on the Executive Editorial Board of The Journal of Markets & Morality.  He has edited several books including Catholicism, Liberalism and Communitarianism (1995), Catholicism and Religious Freedom: Contemporary Reflections on Vatican II’s Declaration on Religious Liberty (2006), and Rethinking Rights: Historical, Political, and Philosophical Perspectives (2009). In 2011, he received the Society of Catholic Social Scientists’ “Pius XI Award for Contributions to the Building Up of an Authentic Catholic Social Science.”
